action

Mieke Fonkel is a police officer. She works with Toby under the direction of Commissioner Migrain (first Emiel Migrain, later Kamiel Migrain). Mieke has a secret alter ego, the superhero Mega Mindy .

Mieke has nothing to say at the police station, nor does she tell Toby that she is in love with him. However, he is in love with Mega Mindy, which frustrates Mieke. Mieke lives with her grandparents. Grandma runs a candy shop, Grandpa is an inventor by profession. The latter is only known to Mieke and Oma. His greatest invention is a machine that Mieke can use to transform herself into Mega Mindy when there is a crime. The fact is that Commissioner Migrain is not very smart, but Mieke is quick to help. Ultimately, Mega Mindy always succeeds in catching the perpetrator, sometimes with the help of another invention from Grandpa. Unfortunately, the effects are only of limited duration, after a while Mega Mindy reverts to Mieke. This never leads to the hoped-for kiss between Toby and Mega Mindy, a scene that is hinted at in almost every episode.
