Mehdi Sahnoune
Mehdi Sahnoune (* 5. May 1976 in Marseille , France ) is a former boxer and regular champion of the association WBA in the light heavyweight division .

Sahnoune became French champion in 2001. On March 8, 2003, he beat Bruno Girard by a technical knockout in round 7 and became a regular WBA world champion. In his first title defense, which took place in October of the same year against Silvio Branco , he lost this title through TKo in the 11th round. This bankruptcy was also the first one he had to accept.
Against the unbeaten Hungarian Zsolt Erdei , he boxed for the WBO World Championship at the age of 39 in October 2005 and suffered his second and last defeat.
