Mehmet Sirri Acar (born January 11, 1966 in Midyat , Turkey ) is a German engineer , politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the Bremen Parliament from 2015 to 2019 .

biography

Family, education and work

From 1985 to 1987 he completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter . From 1988 to 1994 he studied civil engineering at the University of Bremen . He then worked as a salaried engineer. Since 2003 he has been a partner and managing director of a construction company. He lives in Bremen - Burglesum is married and has five children.

politics

Acar has been a member of the SPD since 2006 and a member of the board of the SPD local association Schwachhausen-Nord since 2010.

In the state elections in Bremen in 2015 , he ran for 61st place on the SPD list and received a mandate in the Bremen citizenship due to more than 1,500 direct votes.
He is represented in the committees for port affairs and for citizen participation, civic engagement and advisory boards and in the deputation for education and children.

Due to investigations by the public prosecutor's office on suspicion of possible tax evasion and non-payment of social security contributions, the citizens of Bremen lifted their immunity in the summer of 2015.

He is no longer a member of the citizenship elected in 2019 .
