A half pontoon

The multi-purpose pontoon (MZPt) is a standardized all-purpose watercraft of the specialist group water hazards, type B in the technical relief organization and is used to transport people, animals and goods. It is made of aluminum and is self-floating thanks to integrated floats. Outboard motors with an output of 25 to 50 kW are used as drives .

Depending on the application, individual half pontoons can be coupled together and flexibly provided with a superstructure. Extensive standardization makes it possible to combine the material from different local associations.

For example, work platforms, ferries , landing stages, footbridges or even larger bridges can be implemented on inland or coastal waters.
