Fünfseen is a municipality in the west of the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany). It is administered by the Malchow Office based in the city of the same name .
geography
The community is located in the south of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, on the east bank of the Plauer See and south of Malchow . The Hofsee , the Kogeler See and part of the Petersdorfer See are within the municipality . Large parts of the community are overgrown with coniferous forests. The terrain rises from north to south from 62 to 123 m above sea level. NHN .
Fünfseen is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Malchow in the north, Penkow in the northeast, Walow in the east, Leizen in the southeast, Fincken and Altenhof in the south, Stuer in the southwest, Zislow in the west and Plau am See in the northwest.
Districts
Fünfseen was formed on January 1, 2005 from the formerly independent communities Adamshoffnung , Grüssow , Kogel , Rogeez and Satow . Other districts are Bruchmühle , Lenz-Süd , Neu Grüssow , Petersdorf and Satow Hütte .

History of the districts
Adam's hope was first mentioned in a document in 1793.
Grüssow was first mentioned in a document in 1255. The village church of Grüssow dates from the 13th century. The landowner was u. a. the von Flotow family .
Kogel was first mentioned in a document in 1255. The landowner was u. a. the von Flotow family.
Rogeez was first mentioned in 1344 as Rogatze . The estate was owned by the von Bülow families, among others . The 19th century manor house was renovated in 2006. In the 1930s a central drinking water extraction point was built.
Satow was first mentioned in 1344. The early Gothic stone church was built in 1284, destroyed in the Thirty Years' War and rebuilt around 1700.

Coat of arms, flag, official seal
The municipality has no officially approved national emblem, neither a coat of arms nor a flag. The official seal is the small state seal with the coat of arms of the state of Mecklenburg. It shows a looking bull's head with torn off neck fur and crown and the inscription "GEMEINDE FÜNFSEEN".

Economy, transport and infrastructure
The area is characterized by agriculture.
For the first time, Rogeez received a central drinking water extraction point in a central location in the 1930s. After the war, another extraction point was opened in Rogeez. This was expanded further and supplied Rogeez with drinking water until around 1975. The previously created drinking water extraction point in Kogel took on this task. To this day, it supplies many surrounding towns and Kogel itself with drinking water.
The individual places were connected to the central sewage network between 1997 and 1999. In 2007 Satow, Kogel and Rogeez got a natural gas connection.
In Kogel and Rogeez there was a rubbish dump for general waste and rubble outside of the villages. In Rogeez it was on the Röbeler Berg until the beginning of the 1990s . After its closure, the area was renatured.
Transport links
The federal motorway 19 runs through the municipality from Wittstock to Rostock, which can be reached via the connection points Waren or Röbel / Müritz . The federal road 192 provides a connection to Waren (Müritz) and Neubrandenburg . The next train station is in Malchow . Before 1989 there was also a train station in Altenhof .
