Grammentin is a municipality in the Mecklenburg Lake District . It is located northwest of Neubrandenburg . It belonged to the Stavenhagen-Land Office until January 31, 2004 and since its merger with the city of Stavenhagen to the Stavenhagen Office , which has its administrative headquarters in the Reuterstadt Stavenhagen .

Grammentin is located about seven kilometers north of Stavenhagen and 14 km east of Malchin , east of the Kummerower See . The federal highway 194 runs west of the community. The community is located on the edge of the Malchiner Basin, a glacial channel that was given its present form during the Pomeranian stage of the Vistula Ice Age through meltwater below the ice. Half of the municipality is forested.

Attractions
Grammentin is an elongated street village that has hardly changed in the past 100 years. Worth seeing are the village church Grammentin , the former mill, the old fire station and the famous Kunsthof the painter and graphic artist Günter Horn , the last living disciple Otto Nagel , of the Kunsthof and the village through its annual arts festivals and readings to abroad among artists and Made known to art lovers.
The largest mural in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania can be seen on the sawmill.
