Blankenhof is a municipality in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. The municipality is administered by the Neverin Office, which is based in the municipality of the same name .
geography
The municipality of Blankenhof is the western neighbor of the district town of Neubrandenburg . The municipal area extends from the lowland of the Aalbach to the higher ground moraine that stretches west of the Tollensetal , while the Blocksberg reaches 85 meters above sea level .
Blankenhof is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Breesen in the north, Woggersin in the northeast, Neubrandenburg in the east, Wulkenzin and Penzlin in the south, Kuckssee in the southwest and Mölln in the west.

history
Blankenhof is a settlement from 1805.
Chemnitz first appeared in documents in 1305.
The name Chemnitz is derived from kamjeń for stone , which is probably derived from the area rich in stones (boulders).
The Gothic stone church was built in 1305; the wooden tower top is from the 18th century. The von Klinggräff family owned the manor house from the mid-19th century until 1945 .
Gevezin was first mentioned in 1311. The stone church comes from the late Gothic . The manor house was built in 1912.

The municipality has no officially approved national emblem, neither a coat of arms nor a flag. The official seal is the small state seal with the coat of arms of the state of Mecklenburg. It shows a looking bull's head with a torn neck fur and crown and the inscription "GEMEINDE BLANKENHOF * LANDKREIS MECKLENBURGISCHE SEENPLATTE".

Transport links
Chemnitz is on the B 104 . Like the railway line on which Blankenhof train station is located, it runs from Neubrandenburg to Güstrow . A connecting road leads to the nearby small town of Penzlin .
From Chemnitz there is a bus connection to the city of Neubrandenburg and in the direction of Stavenhagen - Malchin
