Albrecht Joachim von Krakevitz , also Krakewitz, Krackewitz and Albert Joachim K. (born May 28, 1674 in Gevezin , † May 2, 1732 in Greifswald ) was a Lutheran theologian and from 1721 to 1732 general superintendent of Swedish Pomerania in Greifswald.

Albrecht Joachim von Krakevitz was born as the first son Barthold von Krakevitz and Elisabeth von Engeln in Gevezin near Neubrandenburg . He was the great-grandson of Greifswald theology professor and general superintendent Barthold von Krakevitz . After attending school in Friedland , Rostock and Kolberg , his travel and study years took him to Copenhagen in 1695 , where he also preached at the court of King Christian V , and to Leipzig in 1697 and to Rostock in 1698 . Here he acquired the baccalaureate and a doctorate in theology.

In 1699 Duke Friedrich Wilhelm appointed him professor for oriental languages ​​and cateches at the philosophical faculty in Rostock. In 1704 he began his lectures on Luther's catechism , mostly in German.

On May 3, 1713, Krakevitz was appointed full professor of theology, consistorial advisor and superintendent of the Mecklenburg district, and on June 17, 1715, King Karl XII appointed him . from Sweden to general superintendent of Swedish Pomerania and professor of theology in Greifswald . Because of the Danish occupation, he did not take office until 1721. He worked at Greifswald University and as a pastor at St. Nikolai until his death at the age of 58.

Albrecht Joachim von Krakevitz married Margarethe von Voß in 1699, daughter of the Rittmeister von Voss auf Gievitz .

Von Krakevitz was inclined to Spener's pietism, but was even more of a decided advocate of Lutheran orthodoxy . In the "Greifswald Pietism Controversy" in 1723 he tried to mediate.
