coat of arms
Blazon : “Split by a wave cut; in front in blue a golden key with a beard turned to the left; behind in gold an upright red fox. "
The coat of arms and the flag were designed by the Schwerin heraldist Heinz Kippnick . It was approved together with the flag on January 16, 2004 by the Ministry of the Interior and registered under No. 288 of the coat of arms of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. |
|
Justification of the coat of arms: In the coat of arms, the wave-shaped split of the shield symbolizes the location of the community on Lake Tollensesee. The key of St. Peter, borrowed from the seal of the Premonstratensian monastery in Broda from 1287, is intended to indicate that today's three districts of the community belong to this former monastery. The fox, borrowed from the von Voss family seal, is a reminder that this family once had rights to Wulkenzin and Neu Rhäse. The tinging of the coat of arms indicates that the municipality belongs to the state of Mecklenburg. |
flag
The flag has yellow and blue stripes evenly across the longitudinal axis of the flag cloth. In the middle of the flag, spanning one third of the length of the yellow and blue stripes, is the municipal coat of arms. The length of the flag is related to the height as 5: 3.
Official seal
The official seal shows the municipal coat of arms with the inscription "GEMEINDE WULKENZIN • LANDKREIS MECKLENBURGISCHE SEENPLATTE".
