politics
Municipal council
Composition of the local council after the local elections on June 7, 2009:
coat of arms
Blazon : “Divided by a wave cut; above in gold three silver snowdrops with leafy green stems in bars, below in green a left-turned, torn, red-tongued golden wolf head with silver teeth. "
The coat of arms and the flag were designed by the Schwerin heraldist Heinz Kippnick . It was approved together with the flag on August 13, 2007 by the Ministry of the Interior and registered under No. 315 of the coat of arms of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. |
|
Justification of the coat of arms: In the national emblem, the wave cut should indicate the location of the municipality on the Tollense. The snowdrops represent the Snowdrop Park, which is designated as a natural monument. The wolf head borrowed from the von Woggersin seal from 1346, which shows three wolf heads turned to the left, is a reminder of one of the owners of the church village at that time. |
flag
The flag is evenly striped lengthways with green and yellow. In the middle of the flag, at two thirds of the height of the green and yellow stripes, is the municipal coat of arms. The length of the flag is related to the height as 5: 3.
Official seal
The official seal shows the municipal coat of arms with the inscription "GEMEINDE WOGGERSIN • LANDKREIS MECKLENBURGISCHE SEENPLATTE".
