Location of the municipality of Kuckssee in the Mecklenburg Lake District

Kuckssee is a municipality in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It is administered by the Penzliner Land Office based in the city of Penzlin .

geography

The community is located about ten kilometers west of the city ​​center of Neubrandenburg and borders the urban area of ​​Penzlin in the south. The municipal area includes the Malliner See , the Zieskensee , the Kuckssee , the Lapitzer See , the Wokuhlsee and the Salzsee, through which the Aalbach flows . The 110 hectare nature reserve Kuckssee and Lapitzer See is almost entirely in the municipality.

Districts are Krukow , Lapitz , Puchow and Rahnenfelde.

history

The municipality of Kuckssee was created on January 1, 2012 through the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Krukow, Lapitz and Puchow.

Coat of arms, flag, official seal

The municipality has no officially approved national emblem, neither a coat of arms nor a flag. The official seal is the small state seal with the coat of arms of the state of Mecklenburg. It shows a looking bull's head with a torn off neck fur and crown and the inscription "GEMEINDE KUCKSSEE • LANDKREIS MECKLENBURGISCHE SEENPLATTE".

Transport links

The federal highway 192 runs through Krukow from Penzlin to the district town of Neubrandenburg . A district road leads from Penzlin past Puchow to Lapitz, which continues via Gevezin and Blankenhof to Chemnitz, where it leads to federal highway 104 (Neubrandenburg- Schwerin ). Another road leads from Lapitz via Passentin to federal highway 192 in Mallin. In Neubrandenburg there is a rail connection, east of the city you can get to the federal highway 20 .
