Danford B. Greene

Danford Burries Greene (born June 26, 1928 in Wichita , Kansas , † August 13, 2015 in the USA ) was an American film editor .

Life

After graduating from the University of Southern California in film and business, it was the television series Thriller in which Grenne was allowed to edit six episodes for the first time as an independent editor. After his first feature film, with the crime thriller Nightmare in Chicago , it was above all the two film cuts on MASH and The Wilde Wild West for which he received an Oscar nomination for Best Editing .

After his career he taught editing to students in the American Film Institute's Masters program .
