Groß Teetzleben is a municipality in the Mecklenburg Lake District . It is located north of Neubrandenburg . Until January 1, 2004, the community was part of the Kastorfer See office and has since been part of the Treptower Tollensewinkel office , based in Altentreptow .

Geography and traffic

Groß Teetzleben is ten kilometers north of Neubrandenburg and six kilometers south of Altentreptow. The community can be reached from the Federal Motorway 20 via the Altentreptow connection . It lies in the glacial valley of the Tollense .

history

Groß Teetzleben was first mentioned in a document as Tetzlaw in 1491. The place was destroyed during the Thirty Years War . In the 15th century the place belonged to the noble Maltzahn family , who later sold it to the Duke of Mecklenburg.

The municipality has no officially approved national emblem, neither a coat of arms nor a flag . The official seal is the small state seal with the coat of arms of the region of Western Pomerania . It shows an upright griffin with a raised tail and the inscription "GEMEINDE GROß TEETZLEBEN • LANDKREIS MECKLENBURGISCHE SEENPLATTE".
