history

The place was mentioned for the first time in the deed of gift of the Pomeranian Prince Casimir from August 16, 1170 to the cathedral monastery Havelberg for the foundation of the Broda monastery . It was a small fishing village on the Tollense with farms.

On January 1, 1834, the German Customs Union came into force. The place Lebbin belonged to the Prussian province of Pomerania and was directly on the border to the Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (only joined the association when the empire was founded). A customs house was built (demolished in 1993).

Legend has it that the Lebbiner's prosperity came from smuggling between the two old German states.

In 1912 a telephone line was pulled from Teetzleben to Lebbin. A permanent road was requested, but only came 50 years later. In 1914, electricity came to Lebbin. In May 1917 a fire raged in which 27 buildings were destroyed. After the war ended in 1945 Lebbin belonged to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

On January 1, 1951, the name of the municipality Kaluberhof was changed to Lebbin.

1952 Lebbin came to the newly established District Neubrandenburg , circle Altentreptow .

In 1962 the village road was paved. In 1972 the place was connected to the drinking water supply. The connection to the sewage system took place in 1985. After the fall of the Wall in 1992, the Eschengrund development area was built. In 1997 streets as well as sewage and rainwater disposal were rehabilitated.

On January 1, 1973, Lebbin was incorporated into Groß Teetzleben.
