Brunn is a municipality in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. It is administered by the Neverin Office based in the municipality of the same name .

geography

The municipality of Brunn between the cities of Neubrandenburg , Altentreptow and Friedland lies on the gentle north-west slope of the Werder , a ground moraine that slopes down to a valley that is drained by the Kleiner Landgraben . The agricultural community is about twelve kilometers from the district town of Neubrandenburg.

Brunn is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Grischow , Werder and Siedenbollentin (point of contact) in the north, Beseritz in the northeast, Datzetal in the east, Staven in the south, Neverin in the southwest, Neddemin in the west and Altentreptow (point of contact) in the northwest.

history

Brunn was first mentioned in a document as Brunne in 1355 .

Dahlen was first mentioned in a document in 1315. The early Gothic stone church dates from the 13th century.

Ganzkow was first mentioned in a document in 1415. It was a manor village owned by the von Barner (from 1688), von Voss (from 1794) and August Georg Carl Michael (from 1829) families . The manor house dates from around 1800.

Roggenhagen was first mentioned in a document in 1322. It was a manor village owned by the von Gloeden (until 1795) and von Dewitz (until 1945) families . The baroque manor house Roggenhagen Castle was built in 1728; it was destroyed in 1945. The Gothic stone church dates from the 13th century; Restored in 1846 according to plans by Friedrich Wilhelm Buttel .

The municipality has no officially approved national emblem, neither a coat of arms nor a flag. The official seal is the small state seal with the coat of arms of the state of Mecklenburg. It shows a looking bull's head with torn off neck fur and crown and the inscription "GEMEINDE BRUNN * LANDKREIS MECKLENBURGISCHE SEENPLATTE".

• Gutshaus Brunn: Classicist , two-storey, 13-axis plastered building from shortly after 1800 with a medium risalit . Estate of the von Glöde families (from 1609), Dewitz (noble family) (from 1795) and Oertzen (noble family) (from 1812)
• Church in Brunn: Gothic stone church from the 13th century with back. Nave , retracted choir and tower from the 18th century. Painted wooden fixtures from 1842 by Friedrich Wilhelm Buttel .
• Church Dahlen: Early Gothic stone church from the 13th century with back. Nave , extension from 1670; square Field stone tower base from the 15th century with a half-timbered top from 1850 with a pointed helmet .
• Church Ganzkow : Gothic stone church from the 14th century with a flat-roofed nave ; stately tower top in half-timbered with octagonal upper part and curved hood with a point.
• Ganzkow Manor: Classicist, single-storey, 11-axis, plastered half-timbered building from around 1800 with a mansard roof and the middle risalit from around 1820 as well as two square. Wing structures; Property owned by the von Barner families (from 1688), von Voss (from 1794), August Georg Carl Michael (from 1829).
• Roggenhagen Church: Gothic stone church from the 13th century; Restored in 1846 according to plans by Friedrich Wilhelm Buttel ; back. flat-roofed nave ; West tower in the same width with a massive tower from the 18th century with a pointed helmet .

The place Brunn has a sports club, the SV Brunn. The SV Brunn has both a volleyball team, a handball team in the female junior division, and a men's football team that plays in the Mecklenburg-Strelitz / Neubrandenburg regional league, as well as a women's football team that is currently a pure tournament team.

Transport links

Since 2002, Brunn can be reached via the Neubrandenburg-Nord junction of the federal motorway 20 . The construction of the Neddemin motorway feeder also improved the connection to the B 96 and thus to Altentreptow. On January 14, 1994 , the local rail transport was discontinued on the Neubrandenburg – Friedland railway line , where the Roggenhagen stop was located . The nearest train station is in Altentreptow on the Neubrandenburg – Stralsund railway line . The train station in the neighboring municipality of Neddemin is no longer in operation.
