Location of Chemnitz in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania

Chemnitz is a district of the municipality Blankenhof in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It is administered by the Neverin Office based in the municipality of the same name .

Geography and transport links

Chemnitz is northeast of the core town of Blankenhof on the B 104 . Southeast, the 430-hectare extend the conservation area Malliner stream and chain of lakes (see list of protected landscape areas in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern ).

Attractions

In the list of monuments in Blankenhof , nine monuments are listed for Chemnitz .

  • The village church of Chemnitz , a Gothic stone church , was consecrated in 1305 by Bishop Heinrich von Kammin. The western wooden tower tower dates from the 18th century. The hexagonal pointed helmet has a small church bell (there used to be three bells). The interior flat ceiling is painted with leaf ornamentation. The church, which belongs to the parish of Wulkenzin-Weitin-Breesen, has an organ by Carl Noebe from 1845. The enclosure of the churchyard and a wrought-iron grave cross are also architectural monuments.
  • The manor house with park was owned by the von Klinggräff family until 1945 . The core of the 2/3 storey plastered building dates from the beginning of the 18th century, the garden room from the middle of the 19th century. Three corner towers with curved domes date from around 1900. The building is currently empty. The park and the farm buildings (Schlossstrasse 16, 18, 20, 22) and the neo-Gothic gatehouse (Schlossstrasse 28) are also architectural monuments.
  • The former school (Parkstrasse 20) now houses a kindergarten.
