Carl Noebe
Carl Heinrich Friederich Franz Noebe (born March 13, 1800 in Kasendorf (Bavaria), † February 22, 1866 in Güstrow ) was a German organist and organ builder .
Life
Carl Noebe was the son of the organ builder Friedrich August Noebe, who immigrated from Bavaria and settled in Güstrow in Mecklenburg around 1820. In his workshop he completed an apprenticeship as an organ builder and was probably initially working with him. He later became a music teacher in Güstrow. In 1828 he was appointed cathedral organist at Güstrow Cathedral . On November 3, 1841, Duke Paul Friedrich granted him the grand ducal organ builder privilege for Mecklenburg-Schwerin . Carl Noebe carried out many repairs and alterations, but also some new buildings.
In 1832 Noebe had a widowed Schwerin baker's daughter, Louise Maria Dorothea, b. Hardenack married. His son Louis Noebe (born April 17, 1843 in Güstrow; † 1931) became a well-known violin maker in Bad Homburg .
