Meijerfeldt
Meijerfeldt , also Meyerfeldt , is the name of an extinct Swedish noble family.
history
In 1674 , Andreas Meyer ( Anders Meijer ) from Brandenburg , Swedish lieutenant colonel and chief inspector of Wrangel's estates in Livonia, was raised to the hereditary Swedish nobility. His sons Johan August and Wolmar Johan became barons in 1705 . The lower aristocratic line died out in 1710.
Johan August received the title of Count in 1714, his brother in 1719. With Johan August Meijerfeldt the Younger , the male line of the count expired in 1800.
Under Johan August Meijerfeldt the Elder, the family came to large estates in Swedish Pomerania , which covered around 15,000 hectares . In Skåne , Sövde was owned by the Meijerfeldts.
