action

Manod is a small, insignificant village in Wales on the A 496. The town's landmark is the gray mountain where slate used to be mined. Life in the village is monotonous. Everything is gray: the mountain, life, the weather. More and more people are moving away. In this village, the Hughes family runs the Snowdonia car oasis, a small auto repair shop. The Hughes' business is not doing so well right now.

But suddenly things get exciting again in Manod when several vans drive up the mountain road and bathe the top of the mountain in bright light. Various rumors emerge, but after a while it becomes clear: The National Gallery stores its collection here in the mine to protect it from the floods in London . Since the men of the National Gallery guarding the paintings on the mountain of Manod, the Hughes came up with a new business idea to make money. They bake various cakes and give them names of famous artists such as: B. “Tizian cake” or “Turner chocolate cake”, which they then sell to the workers on the mountain. As a result, the car oasis is going uphill again.

Little by little, residents of the place get to see pictures - and although nobody has the slightest idea about art (all the more about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ), these pictures change the inhabitants, the place and their lives.
