The 1990/91 season was the first season of the Meistriliiga , the highest Estonian ice hockey division . Master was Kreenholm Narva II .

In the main round each of the five teams should complete 15 games, but Talleks Tallinn withdrew his team after eight games. The first place in the main round was champion. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
