The 2002/03 season was the 13th season of the Meistriliiga , the highest Estonian ice hockey division . Tartu Välk became champion in 494 .

In the main round, the eight teams were divided into two groups. Each team played a total of 20 games. The top three teams in each group qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played, with the top three teams in each group qualifying directly for the playoff semifinals. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
