Melanie Andrée
Melanie Andrée ( December 10, 1869 in Budapest - after 1907 ) was a stage actress and opera singer ( soprano ).
Life
Andrée was a student of the conductor Johann Brandl . She began her stage career as an actress in Böhm-Leipa . She had her second engagement at the Theater an der Wien , where she stayed from 1887 to 1889. In 1890 she moved to the Carltheater . There she was soon noticed in Charles Weinberger's "Laughing Heirs" through song and play. After three years she left Vienna and followed an application to the Lindentheater in Berlin, then came to the Friedrich-Wilhelmstädtsche Theater and, after temporarily working in Innsbruck, she joined the Association of United Theaters in Munich in 1899. There she made her debut at the Gärtnerplatztheater as “Mimosa” in the operetta “ Die Geisha ”. Her further life from 1907 is unknown.
