Melanie Hirsch
Melanie Hirsch (* 1975 in Stuttgart ) is a German opera singer ( soprano ). She has won various prizes, including the winner of the International Singing Competition of the Rheinsberg Castle Chamber Opera and, in 2004, together with her pianist Alexandra Ismer, she won the audience award at the International Competition for Lied Art in Stuttgart.
Life
Melanie Hirsch studied singing with Markus Köhler at the Detmold University of Music from 1998 to 2004 ; At the same time, she took her first state examination in law at Bielefeld University .
From 2004 to 2006 Melanie Hirsch was a member of the ensemble at the Halle Opera House on a grant from the Jürgen Ponto Foundation and has been taught by Romelia Lichtenstein ever since. In autumn 2006 she sang Princess Berenice in the baroque opera Arsinoe by Reinhard Keizer in a production of the Berlin Chamber Opera.
Since the 2006/2007 season she has been a member of the State Theater in Nuremberg . There she sang Ännchen in Carl Maria von Weber's Freischütz , Valencienne in Merry Widow , and Siebel in Gounod's Faust . In 2007 she was heard in Richard Wagner's Ring as Rhine daughter Wellgunde and as Gerhilde in Rheingold , Die Walküre and in Götterdämmerung under the direction of Christoph Prick.
