Melanie Mikala

Melanie Mikala (born May 3, 1987 ) is a German archer . Your club is the 1st Archery Club Karlsruhe.

Life

Melanie Mikala came into contact with archery through her father Joachim Mikala . Her mother Monika Mikala , an archer and trainer, took care of her early on and encouraged her. For a long time she was accompanied and trained by Falk Thiele . In addition to her career as an archer, she is studying social pedagogy and works as a trainer for an archery company.

Career

Melanie Mikala has been an active archer since 1999 and has repeatedly been national champion at FITA and field . In 2004 she finally became a shooter in the national squad of the German Archery Association and has been able to set four German records during this time. With the Verein Bogenfreunde Baden she won the German U20 championship in compound archery .

She also took an active part in archery and in 2007 reached 4th place in the German rankings. At the 2008 World Cup in Santo Domingo , she managed to achieve 2nd place in the team. A year later she finished 6th at the 2009 World Championships in Ulsan and was also German champion.

In 2010 she beat the old national best by one ring at the German Championship and set a new record.
