Melchior Essewich

Melchior Essewich , also Melchior Eswig (born February 4, 1786 in Dülmen ; † February 22, 1872 ibid) was a German businessman and politician .

Essewich was an economist, merchant, blue dyer and cloth merchant in Dülmen. In 1866 he was the founder and founder of the Essewich poor house on Bollenstrasse in Dülmen.

Essewich was a councilor in his hometown. In 1841 (as a deputy) and from 1843 to 1865 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Westphalia for the electoral district of West Münster and the city of Dülmen . In 1847 he was a member of the First United State Parliament .
