Mella Fiora

Mella Fiora (born around 1860 - after 1902) was an opera singer at German theaters in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Life

Fiora first took to the stage in the 1891/92 season at the Würzburg City Theater , then came to Breslau , where she worked until 1897 and then joined the association of the Hofbühne in Mannheim . She ended her career with her marriage to the civil engineer Oskar Smreker in 1902.

She was a coloratura singer of the most amiable kind. When it came to singing, she often offered something perfect and was greatly appreciated for her grace and kindness in the performance and her sympathetic way of singing. She represented her compartment with taste and skill, are highlighted from the long series of their popular shows: " Lakme ", " Mistress Ford ," " Susanne ", " Raisin " and " Philine ", " Daughter of the Regiment ", " Nedda ", " Carlo Broschi "," Gilda "," Frau Dot "(in Karl Goldmark's opera Das Heimchen am Herd ) etc.
