Mels Jeleussisow

Mels Jeleusisow ( Kazakh Мэлс Елеусізов ; born March  20, 1950 in Alma-Ata , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh environmentalist and politician. He was one of only four candidates eligible for the 2011 Kazakh presidential election .

Yeleussisow ran in the presidential elections in Kazakhstan on April 3, 2011 for the environmental union "Tagibat", the Green Party of Kazakhstan. He received 1.15 percent of the vote.

The main focus of Jeleussisow's political activity is on questions of ecology.
