Memory Controller Hub (MCH) or Graphics and Memory Controller Hub (GMCH) is Intel's name for the northbridge of a chipset. The designation GMCH denotes a Northbridge with an integrated graphics core ( IGP ). The south bridge of an Intel chipset is known as the I / O controller hub (ICH).
