Quantity structure
A quantity structure describes the (quantitative) composition of an object (or process) by specifying a quantity for each component. Essentially, it serves as a quantifying description and associated cost accounting . Depending on the area of application, more specific definitions are used.
Examples
- Products: The quantity structure of a product contains e.g. B. the parts list data ( components and respective quantity ).
- Processes: In a quantity structure for production processes , the means (e.g. material goods , personnel , investments ) required for implementation are described in terms of their type and number.
- Information technology : The databases and data movements used in a project.
