Menhir de la Roche Piquée

The Menhir de la Roche Piquée is located on a forest path near the Livet mine, about 150 m from the banks of the Laize , in a place called Peugray, about southwest of Saint-Germain-le-Vasson , south of Caen in the Calvados department in Normandy in France . The spotty menhir, often referred to as a megalith, is located between other stones that lie around it on the sandstone rock .

It has been classified Monument historique since 1952 .

According to legend, this stone closes the entrance to a vault in which a treasure is locked.

The menhir de la Roche Piquée is of the same name in the Ille-et-Vilaine department , where Les Roches Piquées are also located.
