Menhir of Couëbrac

The menhir of Couëbrac (also called menhir of Coisbrac ) is a veined, white quartz menhir with small inclusions of cassiterite (formerly called tin stone). Its height is 2.8 m, its width 2.15 m. It is 60 to 75 cm thick.

The menhir is located west of the hamlet of Coisbrac, east of Nozay in the Loire-Atlantique department in France , at the end of a broad tongue of land covered with heather at "Le Fayel" and an access road that ends at a rocky slate gorge above a stream.

It has been classified as a Monument historique since 1928 .
