Nozay ( Breton : Nozieg ) is a French municipality with 4150 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis , to the Guémené-Penfao and until 2015 was the main town (French: chef-lieu ) of the canton of Nozay of the same name . The inhabitants are called Nozéens .
geography
Nozay is 45 kilometers north of Nantes . Nozay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Jans in the north, Treffieux in the northeast, Abbaretz in the east, Puceul in the south, La Grigonnais in the southwest, Vay in the west and Marsac-sur-Don in the northwest.
Route nationale 137 and the former route nationale 771 (today's D771) run through the municipality .
