Mouzeil is a French commune in the Loire-Atlantique with 1,889 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the canton of Nort-sur-Erdre (until 2015: canton of Ligné ) and the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis . The inhabitants are called Mouzeillais .

geography

Mouzeil is about 30 kilometers northeast of Nantes . The Hâvre , a tributary of the Loire, forms the eastern municipal boundary. The commune is located in the Coteaux d'Ancenis wine-growing region . Mouzeil is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Trans-sur-Erdre in the north and northwest, Teillé in the east and northeast, Mésanger in the east and southeast, Couffé in the south and southeast, Ligné in the south and southwest and Les Touches in the west.
