Vigneux-de-Bretagne ( Breton : Gwinieg-Breizh ) is a French municipality with 6030 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis and is part of the canton of La Chapelle-sur-Erdre (until 2015: canton of Saint-Étienne-de-Montluc ).

Vigneux-de-Bretagne is located on the Gesvres and Cens rivers , which have their source here. Vigneux-de-Bretagne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Notre-Dame-des-Landes in the north, Treillières in the east, Orvault in the southeast, Sautron in the south, Saint-Étienne-de-Montluc in the southwest, Cordemais and Le Temple-de-Bretagne in the west and Fay-de-Bretagne in the northwest.
Route Nationale 165 runs through the municipality .
The village of La Paquelais belongs to the municipality and was used as a camp for the usurper on the Count's chair of Brittany, Lambert, 840.
