La Grigonnais ( Breton : Kerrigon ; Gallo : La Gergonàe ) is a French municipality with 1,675 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis and the canton of Guémené-Penfao (until 2015: canton of Nozay ). The inhabitants are called Grigonnaisiens .
geography
La Grigonnais is located about 32 kilometers north-northwest of Nantes . La Grigonnais is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vay in the north and west, Nozay in the northeast, Puceul in the east, La Chevallerais in the south and Blain in the south and southwest.
The national route 171 runs through the municipality .
history
In 1958 the community was separated from the neighboring municipality of Vay and became independent.
