Maddalena Crippa (born September 4, 1957 in Besana in Brianza ) is an Italian actress .

Life

Crippa made her first stage experiences with her family on the amateur stage of a sausage manufacturer in her hometown. She attended the school of the "Piccolo Teatro" in Milan, but before she graduated, Giorgio Strehler offered her to play the leading female role in Carlo Goldoni's Il campiello . This began a long and qualitatively outstanding theater career, which is characterized by Crippa's assertiveness, exuberance, devotion and passion for her profession. She worked with many important stage directors ( Giancarlo Cobelli , Luca Ronconi , Antoine Vitez , Antonio Calenda , Massimo Castri , Peter Stein ). In 2006 she played under Robert Carsen in Bertolt Brecht's mother Courage , in 2012 she worked with Giorgio Gaber , and in 2013 she showed a one-person piece with music in Rome. In 1994 she received the Maschera d'Argento for her performances in the theater .

Active in several television series since 1976, Crippa's film career has been steady from 1981, but very sporadically. In 26 film and television productions, viewers were able to convince themselves of their acting qualities. She has been married to the German theater director Peter Stein since 1999 .
