Sion-les-Mines ( Breton : Hezin-ar-Mengleuzioù ) is a French municipality with 1583 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis and the canton of Guémené-Penfao (until 2015: canton of Derval ). The inhabitants are called Sionnais .

geography

Sion-les-Mines is about 57 kilometers north of Nantes . Sion-les-Mines is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Sulpice-des-Landes in the north, Ruffigné in the north and northeast, Saint-Aubin-des-Châteaux in the east, Lusanger in the south, Mouais in the southwest and La Dominelais in the west.
