Louisfert ( Breton : runners ; Gallo : Lóifèrr ) is a French municipality with 1029 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire ; it is part of the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis and the canton of Châteaubriant (until 2015: Moisdon-la-Rivière ). The inhabitants are called Locfériens .
geography
Louisfert is located about 51 kilometers south-southeast of Rennes and about 51 kilometers north-northeast of Nantes . The river Cône crosses the municipality. Louisfert is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Aubin-des-Châteaux in the north and north-west, Châteaubriant in the north-east, Erbray in the east, Moisdon-la-Rivière in the south-east, Issé in the south and Saint-Vincent-des-Landes in the west and south-west.
