Joué-sur-Erdre ( Breton : Yaoued , Gaul : Joue ) is a French municipality with 2482 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . Joué-sur-Erdre belongs to the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis and the canton of Nort-sur-Erdre (until 2015: canton of Riaillé ). The inhabitants are called Jovéens .
geography
Joué-sur-Erdre is located about 32 kilometers north-northeast of Nantes on the Erdre . Here is the great Lac de Moreau (also: Grand Réservoir de Vioreau ). The Canal de Nantes à Brest also runs through the municipality . Joué-sur-Erdre is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Abbaretz in the north and north-west, La Meilleraye-de-Bretagne in the north-east, Riaillé in the east and north-east, Trans-sur-Erdre in the east and south-east, Les Touches in the south, Nort-sur- Erdre in the southwest and Saffré in the west.
