Moisdon-la-Rivière ( Breton : Maezon-ar-ster ; Gallo : Maèdon ) is a French municipality with 1951 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire ; it is part of the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis and the canton of Châteaubriant (until 2015: Moisdon-la-Rivière ). The inhabitants are called moisdonnais .
geography
Moisdon-la-Rivière is located about 58 kilometers south-southeast of Rennes and about 46 kilometers north-northeast of Nantes . The Don River crosses the municipality. Moisdon-la-Rivière is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Erbray in the north and northeast, Petit-Auverné in the east, Grand-Auverné in the southeast, La Meilleraye-de-Bretagne in the south, Issé in the west and Louisfert in the northwest.
