Vay Town Hall

Vay ( Breton : Gwez ) is a French municipality with 2046 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis and the canton of Guémené-Penfao (until 2015: canton of Nozay ). The inhabitants are called Vayens .

geography

Vay is about 30 kilometers southwest of Châteaubriant . Vay is surrounded by the neighboring communities Marsac-sur-Don in the north, Nozay in the east, La Grigonnais in the south and south-east, Blain in the south and south-west and Le Gâvre in the west and south-west.
