Couffé is a French commune in the Loire-Atlantique with 2,563 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the region of Pays de la Loire . It is assigned to the canton of Ancenis (until 2015: canton of Ligné ) and the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis . The inhabitants are called coufféens .

geography

Couffé is located in the northern Loire Valley about 35 kilometers east of Nantes on the Hâvre , a tributary of the Loire. The commune is located in the Coteaux d'Ancenis wine-growing region . Couffé is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mouzeil in the north and northwest, Mésanger in the east and northeast, Ancenis-Saint-Géréon in the southeast, Oudon in the south, Le Cellier in the southwest and Ligné in the west.

The A11 car route runs through the municipality .
