Mésanger ( Breton : Mezansker ) is a French municipality with 4687 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis and the canton of the same name Ancenis . The inhabitants are called Mesangéens .
geography
Mésanger lies on the river Beusse . The Muscadet-Coteaux de la Loire and Coteaux d'Ancenis wine-growing regions extend into the municipality. Mésanger is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pannecé in the north, Pouillé-les-Côteaux in the northeast, La Roche-Blanche in the east, Ancenis-Saint-Géréon in the south, Couffé in the southwest, Mouzeil in the west and Teillé in the northwest.
