Vair-sur-Loire ( Breton : Gwer-Liger ) is a French commune in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement Ancenis is part of the canton of Châteaubriant-Ancenis . Vair-sur-Loire was formed as a commune nouvelle on January 1, 2016 from the communes of Saint-Herblon and Anetz .
geography
Vair-sur-Loire is located between the cities of Nantes and Angers . The Loire limits the municipality in the southeast. Vair-sur-Loire is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Roche-Blanche in the north and northwest, La Rouxière in the north and northeast, Varades in the east, Mauges-sur-Loire in the south and southeast, Orée d'Anjou in the south and southwest and Ancenis -Saint-Géréon to the west.
The A11 car route runs through the municipality .
