Héric Town Hall

Heric ( Breton : Hierig ) is a French municipality with 6049 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . Héric belongs to the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis and the canton of Nort-sur-Erdre . The inhabitants are called Héricois .

geography

Héric is located about 26 kilometers north-northwest of Nantes on the Canal de Nantes à Brest , which borders the municipality in the north. The Plongeon River runs along the western boundary of the municipality . Héric is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Chevallerais and Saffré in the north, Nort-sur-Erdre in the northeast, Casson in the east and southeast, Grandchamps-des-Fontaines in the south, Notre-Dame-des-Landes in the southwest and Blain in the west and northwest .

The national route 137 runs through the municipality .
