Ancenis-Saint-Géréon ( Breton Ankiniz-Sant-Gerent ) is a French municipality with 10,802 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire ; it is part of the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis and the capital of the canton of Ancenis .
It was created with effect from January 1, 2019 as Commune nouvelle through the amalgamation of the previous municipalities of Ancenis and Saint-Géréon , which were not granted the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative seat is in Ancenis.

The municipality is located on the right, northern bank of the Loire , halfway between Angers and Nantes .
Neighboring municipalities of Ancenis-Saint-Géréon are Mésanger in the north, La Roche-Blanche in the northeast, Vair-sur-Loire in the east, Orée d'Anjou in the south ( Maine-et-Loire department ), Oudon in the west and southwest and Couffé in the West and northwest.
There is a train station on the Tours – Saint-Nazaire railway line .
