Bernard Toublanc-Michel (also Bernard T. Michel ; born December 6, 1927 in Ancenis ) is a French director .

Bernard Toublanc-Michel began as assistant director to Jacques Demy ( Lola ), Agnès Varda ( Cléo between 5 and 7 ) and Jean-Luc Godard ( The story of Nana S. , masculine feminine ). The first major success as a director was Cinq gars pour Singapore in 1968 . Bernard Toublanc-Michel was the discoverer of the actor Jean-Claude Dauphin ( Tanja's lover ) and the actress Isabelle Adjani ( Blacky, Adventures of a Runaway ). His thriller The Malicious Pleasure (Le malin plaisir), in which a young author ( Jacques Weber ) gets caught in the snake's nest of an emancipated and criminal women's quintet (including Claude Jade , Anny Duperey and Mary Marquet ), became a lasting success . Toublanc-Michel later shot exclusively for television. In 1980 he shot the crime thriller La grotte aux loups (The Wolf Cave), again with Claude Jade in the lead role, in 1982 the comedy Allons voir si la rose with Dany Carrel and in 1990 Michigan mélodie with Edward Meeks .
