Fégréac ( Breton : Fegerieg ) is a French municipality with 2445 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loire-Atlantique in the Region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of Châteaubriant-Ancenis and the canton of Pontchâteau (until 2015: canton of Saint-Nicolas-de-Redon ). The inhabitants are called Fégréacais (es) .
geography
Fégréac is about 75 kilometers north of Nantes . The river Vilaine limits the municipality to the west and northwest, to the south of the Isac and the Canal de Nantes à Brest . Fégréac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Nicolas-de-Redon in the north, Avessac in the northeast, Plessé in the east and southeast, Guenrouet in the southeast, Sevérac in the south, Théhillac in the southwest and Rieux in the west.
The former National Route 164 runs through the municipality .
