Rieux ( Breton : Reoz ) is a French municipality with 2845 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Morbihan in the region of Brittany . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Vannes and the canton of Guer . The inhabitants are called Rieuxois (es) .
geography
Rieux is located on the river Oust , which flows into the Vilaine here . Rieux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Jean-la-Poterie in the north, Saint-Nicolas-de-Redon in the north-east, Fégréac in the east, Théhillac in the south-west, Saint-Dolay in the west and Allaire in the west and north-west.
