The Canton Guer (Breton: Canton Gwern-Porc'hoed ) is a French canton in the Arrondissement of Vannes , in Morbihan department in the region of Brittany ; its main town is Guer .
history
The canton was established on February 15, 1790. From 1801 to 2015 seven municipalities belonged to the canton of Guer. With the reorganization of the cantons in France, all municipalities of the previous cantons of Allaire and La Gacilly and the municipality of Théhillac from the canton of La Roche-Bernard moved to the canton of Guer in 2015 , making 26 municipalities part of the canton of Guer.

Until the state-wide reorganization of the cantons in 2015, the old canton of Guer comprised seven municipalities on an area of 179.90 km². These were: Augan , Beignon , Guer (main town), Monteneuf , Porcaro , Réminiac and Saint-Malo-de-Beignon .
